Snowy night (how I wish)...

Hei hei! I'm back!!! Well not for long I guess. I'm just swamped these days with school stuff. Classes just started last Monday and I'm already neck deep in homework! I haven't really got much to update other than my mundane day-to-day activity. I think its safe to say that those in the UK must have been enjoying this year's bizzare winter. It snowed all over the UK kan? They say its the worst in 18 years, but I say its the BEST in 18 years!!! I did go out and play, but not for long since I just started my paper when it first came down.

I like snow. Do you? Its not just because I come from a tropical land, where the only snow I get to see around my house is in my grandma's old fridge. To me there's something magical about snow, how the snowflakes fall and settled on the ground covering the land, its like they're blanketing the land. When it first started to snow around Sheffield, some of my friends were less enthused by it since they just came back from their skiing trip in Swiss or Norway or France. They said that they had enough of snow during their ski trip that they kinda don't really see the point of my being excited with snow. I know they just came back and still felt the aftermath of their trip but I think snow around here, particularly around your house, is different from those in the Alps Mountain Range no? I don't know about others but I always have this dream when I was little that one day, if I ever I get to go to any of the 4 seasons country, I would walk in the snow with my boots on, going to class or just walk around the park or something. I thought the idea was kinda nice back then, and still is. I dunno, I think its the sentimental value that I chase. I wanna walk around with my coat covered with flakes, slipped and fell on the ground because its so slippery, you know those kinda things. Nah, I think that's just me. Well , what can I say, I'm wired this way. *Hey, it rhymes!* Anyway, yes, I LOVE the snow! No matter how cold it gets at night or how thick the ground can be or how dirty it gets after a while, I still love every bits of it! Still, I think I'm this way because I never really felt real snow before, maybe if lived in the UK for all my life, I would have thought otherwise kan?? Who knows, huh?

Enough talk about the snow, lets talk about something else. How about me, getting pissed yesterday because I was refused a contract by T-Mobile yesterday!

Well, yesterday, I went to T-Mobile to get a contract phone since my current phone's contract is going to expire soon. I'm not going to renew my contract with O2 because I'm so pissed at them for their bad customer service! Don't even get me started on that! Anyway, I went to T-Mobile in Meadowhall and everything was fine until we got to the part where they have to verify my address and account. They couldn't do it online since the line was so busy at that time. They had to use the phone to call some company and I waited for the approval. After what seems like a day, they finally got through and I was happy but my happiness didn't last long 'cause they rejected my account! I asked them what happened, since I was sure I have some money left in my account, but they didn't know what went wrong. Apparently its the other company's policy to not talk about the reasons why they rejected someone's account. The guy at the shop also didn't know what the reasons are. So I thought, okay, I'll try again 'some other day' and guess what? My 'some other day' would have to be in another 3 months!!!! Apparently, if you get rejected, you have to wait for 3 months before you can try again. 3 months. 3 FREAKING months!!!! I was so pissed that I went straight to the bank to ask them what happened only to be told that the bank had nothing to do with it! The whole credit-checking thing was actually done by a third party company called Experian and Equifax! The clerk told me that I need to send the company a letter to ask for my credit report! What?????? What's all this credit mumbo jumbo??? I haven't got the slightest idea what's going on here!!!

I went back and try to search that company online and found it. Apparently, the company's responsible for every credit traffic you have with your service provider, like the internet, your cell phone and your bank. Lets say you didn't pay for some subscription for like 3 months and you moved to another place, where they couldn't reach you to ask you to pay your debt. Since they couldn't reach you, they thought you're running away from them and listed you as a default and it will show on your credit report where it can be viewed by any company that you tried to make contract with or subscribed to. So now, T-Mobile has seen my report and I was rejected, but the problem is that I don't know if I ever lend any money or didn't pay for any subscriptions. So I requested my statutory credit report for GBP 2.00 even though I'm sure haven't done anything wrong, and I have to wait for 7 days! 7 days!!

This evening I went to Noodle Inn with Zila, Faz and Sue and I told them what happened. So they asked me,

"Ape yg ko direct debit dari account ko?"

"Takde pape pon. Ade Sky, ngan O2 je."

"Dulu?"

"Takde pape. Just O2 ngan..."

*Gasp*

"Dulu kan aku ade account Unlimited ngan Cineworld"

"Ko dh terminate kan?"

*I paused*

"Dah"

"Ntahlah Amin, tak atu ak ape hal ngan akaun ko ni"

. . .

Okay I lied. I didn't really cancel my account with Cineworld. I just canceled them from my Direct Debit list. I didn't really tell them that I'm stopping their service. Sorry, my bad! :hmm:
Anyway, as soon as I get back, I called Cineworld to check my account and guess what?? I did have an outstanding balance with them!!!! Argh! How was I supposed to know??? See? I was so indifferent to the proper ways of canceling my contract and now its biting me back! Its karma! So now, I have settled all my debt and the only thing left is to check my credit report. See if the default credit status is still there! ~Phew~

I think that's enough venting for the day. I'm gonna stop now. I'm gonna watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button now. Faz said its a beautiful and sad movie. Coming from her, its like the ultimate compliment, and if she say its a sad movie, its gonna be a reallly sad movie.

So long peeps!
