Well hello folks. Yes as we're all aware of, American Idol just ended their 8th season witnessing the coronation of the underdog/dark horse of the competition Kris Allen as their latest Idol.
What do I think? Even if you don't ask, I still wanna answer that! I'm happy, ecstatic, and overwhelmed by the fact that the contestant I rooted for the whole time snatched away the crown from the other 
contestant! 
I have been waiting this moment for so long, ever since I heard him sang Man in the Mirror back in top 48 and last night, when I hit that refresh button for the umpteenth at 4 in the morning, I just knew that my stay-up was worth it! He freakin won the show! Have I always know that he would win? NO! I HOPED that he'd win but every week it seems his chances were very slim. Adam Lambert put up a great fight. It was so intense week after week. I always think that Adam would be the eventual winner but I guess there's no guarantee to that huh? Kris has always been my favourite throughout the competition and sure he has his ups and downs but I liked him all the same. Its not like I don't like Adam, I do. Its just that I like Kris more. I absolutely loved Adam's version of Mad World! *Thanks to Kimmy for posting this song on her blog* It was PERFECT! I didn't know what he's gonna sing at that time but when I heard the music, I found myself humming to the tunes and singing along. I was like,"Hey, I know this song!"
His rendition was better than the original one, in my opinion. So no, I'm not a bias, I'm just another listener who prefers Kris over Adam. But nevertheless, both put up incredible performances on result night. Kris' duet with Keith friggin Urban was amazing! Hey that's it, maybe I like Kris because I like folksy-country music! Granted, my country music artists are only those in the mainstream music, (re: Rascal Flatts & Carrie Underwood) but I still adore the music! Anyway, last night's performances were solid. From all of'em, the top 13 and the guest artists. Not sure about the Black Eye Peas though. I really liked Michael and Megan duet with Steve Martin!
That last song, We Are The Champions was incredible, especially since Kris is not really the rock type. Well the competition's over now. We'll see how they fare from here. Will Kris follow Taylor Hicks path or Carrie's rise to popularity, we'll see. But I do hope its the latter though. maybe he'll be like John Mayor or Rob Thomas. crooning his tunes to the Grammy. I hope that they all do well after this. Not just Kris or Adam.~Sigh. No more shows to watch now. Its nearing summer, so everything's ending. Gossip, Grey's, Desperate and Heroes, all just ended their season. That means one thing for me, exam is near!!! Arghh! I.Need.More.Time!!! Oh by the way, During performances night, Ryan advertise some pilot episode for FOX, a teen drama show, Glee! I watched it and absolutely loved it!!! Go watch the show, you'll know. Please note that It.Is.Not.Another.High.School.Musical. Its about a Glee club, not some musical show where people randomly broke into songs and dance! ~sheesh~
Have to go now. Got lotsa work to do!
